1840 Original Lager
A refined lager that honors tradition while embracing what's next. 1840 Original Lager showcases a layered malt character that delivers depth without overwhelming the palate. Clean, crisp, and quietly complex, this beer brings together traditional lager character with a subtle modern twist.
Brewed in the Munich lager tradition, 1840 is the darker and maltier sibling to our flagship American Blonde Ale. A unique blend of malts creates rich notes of caramelized grain and toast, while a Pacific Northwest hop adds a subtle earthy character and just enough bitterness to keep the beer crisp and balanced.
The result is a smooth, malt-forward lager with a dry, refreshing finish. It's rooted in tradition but distinctly Aldus—bringing heritage and new ideas together in every pour.
Aroma: Bold, sweet, and toasty grain notes with a subtle yet assertive hop aroma.
Flavor & Mouthfeel: Caramelized grain and earthy undertones unfold into a mild bitterness that cleanses the palate. The finish is dry and crisp, leaving behind a subtle toasted character.
